  2. I loved Mt. Vernon! I've been wanting to go back for a long time because while we were there in '90 they were doing a dig in the yard and now what they found is on display. I, also, liked the museums. So many of them! Have a great time!

  3. I love DC. I bet you'll have a great time.

I just realized I got my blogs mixed up (I have two) and did Weekword on the wrong one. So my Weekword post for this week is at http://razzycorner.blogspot.com/ (I edited my post at Poe Family to direct anyone looking for Weekword over there). Sorry for the confusion.

  4. good morning you early birds... sorry about the confusion, Kristin - it's good to have a new participant.

jpe & i are planning to visit a couple of the Smithsonian's, depends on the crowds (Spring Break for a lot of families), and my physical stamina (i'm still wearing the aircast)... more updates about that this week after i visit the foot dr on tuesday.

thanks Junebug & John for your comments... i can always count on you two to share!

  5. When I saw anticipation I couldn't get the Carly Simon ketchup commerical out of my head. :)
I hope the weather cooperates with you, and you have a fun, safe trip!

Wahoo! Shutdown averted so you won't be Segwaying through piling DC trash. I understand Teaism is a hot spot for some but otherwise it's been over a decade since I worked at NPR. I interviewed for a rare books collection job at LOC in another life as well and it even though the job wasn't for me (solidified I needed little people to interact with), SO cool to walk the stacks of that part of the collection.

Some blossoms are still waiting for you even if the parade is over. Have a great visit!

  9. You will love D.C.! I live in Philly and the blossoms are out now, I think it is the end for D.C., but you will love D.C. anyway! Who is the week word host for this week? I did it 2 weeks ago.

  10. Hi Christine, who is next weeks host?

  11. I was wondering that too! I'm out of the Weekword loop and I miss it!

I hope you have/had/are having a great holiday!

  12. WEEKWORD participants....

I was negligent in finding someone to host for WEEKWORD this week. How about someone volunteering for the week of:
    Sunday April 17-Saturday April 23rd.

Also, I think it would be nice to send a message to former WEEKWORD participants so they can join in again... the more, the merrier.

SO - who wants to HOST?

  13. Hi Christine,

If you haven't had a volunteer, I'd be happy to get the ball rolling again. I've missed Weekword! Love your idea of rounding up the usual suspects, too!
