APRIL FOOL'S JOKE?
Seeing the synonyms you listed brought to mind a scene from one of my favorite movies (BBC version of Pride & Prejudice w/Jennifer Ehle & Colin Firth). In one scene, Elizabeth's father is telling her something which he thought would make her laugh... but she doesn't. So he asks, "Are you not diverted?" I had to look up the word diverted in order to understand that he was really saying, "Isn't that funny?"
ReplyDeleteLove the new polka-dot background! Where did you find it?
ReplyDeleteHennie - good to know that term is "English" at least I know why I didn't understand.
ReplyDeleteHeather - the background in available under the Blogger design link on your dashboard - Look under Template Design & on the left hand side of the page; check under the drop-down box for Background Image; click on Patterns. Loads of cute stuff.
I'm a fumble bee. :)
ReplyDeleteYou are bee-yond funny!!! Couldn't help myself!

ReplyDeleteGreat Weekword Post. I spent the day yesterday with a four year old who made up some "amusing" jokes of her own.
ReplyDeleteI finally got my weekword post up today. Better late than never right :)
