STARRY... WHITES....

such a delicate flower!

Our weekend was love-ly! how about yours?

we're ending our weekend by sitting on the patio,

sipping a cup of

"JPE's Weekend Blend" of tea

(mango black tea + English Breakfast tea)

I spent some time tidying the patio, while JPE mulched the rose beds...

Mr Lincoln is joining us for dinner tonight!

(first rose of the season)

we DO own some vases ~ JPE grabbed this syrup bottle from the recycling bin

the smell of the flowers are amazing!

our patio is about 8' wide & 30' long & when we sit in the Adirondack chairs the fragrance of the Star Jasmine surrounds us like a honey-sweet cloud!

this plant is one of my fave to capture!!

Star Jasmine or Confederate Jasmine

(Trachelospermum jasminoides)

BETTER HOMES & GARDENS MAGAZINE says we live in Zone 8 (USDA planting map) or Zone 16, if you are using SUNSET MAGAZINE

like what you SEE?

check either site to determine if this plant can be grown in your region...

when the flowers drop, it seems like it's snowing!!!

(which probably doesn't appeal to those who experience the white, wet, stuff)

one last picture to entice you!!

  1. Beautiful garden sanctuary! I can almost smell the fragrance of the flowers. What a relaxing place to be.

  2. Greetings from zone 14! No Mr. Lincoln yet (but lots of lice or whatever it is) and no jasmine either. However, my tree peonies are stunning this year, I love the scent of the French lilac and the wisteria is beautiful. Your star jasmine is gorgeous and I can imagine how it smells. You're lucky.

  4. You have such a beautiful garden! I should plant some star jasmine somewhere in my yard. I forgot what a heavenly scent it has.
