mischievous... looking for trouble
lively... constantly in motion
shrewd... cunning personality

~ PUCK ~

...is a mischievous sprite in English folklore!

Carmen from TAILS OF A BIOMOUSE selected
M-E-R-C-U-R-I-A-L
as the WEEKWORD...

Surely ~
you'll agree with me
that PUCK qualifies as a character
with a "MERCURIAL nature"...

  1. Well this looks like the most mischievious and sexy Puck I have ever seen.(-: A really wonderful statue ~ you can almost see him move.

  2. Awesome post! I love how you started with just his toes, what a tease to leave us wondering in the beginning... Puck is totally mercurial :-)

    Boy, I'm sorry to have missed this word. We were away for 4 days this week, so I just couldn't swing it. Darn good word, too. I enjoyed seeing your take on it.

  7. Oh oh ohhh Puck is the most mercurial literary/mythic figure I can think of and one I loved dearly throughout my literature classes.

    If we shadows have offended,
    Think but this, and all is mended,
    That you have but slumber'd here
    While these visions did appear.
    And this weak and idle theme,
    No more yielding but a dream,
    Gentles, do not reprehend:
    if you pardon, we will mend:
    And, as I am an honest Puck,
    If we have unearned luck
    Now to 'scape the serpent's tongue,
    We will make amends ere long;
    Else the Puck a liar call;
    So, good night unto you all.
    Give me your hands, if we be friends,
    And Robin shall restore amends.

    Great choice Chris!
