"One thing at a time, all things in succession.
That which grows slowly endures."
~ J.G. Hubbard, author

The WEEKWORD was T-R-A-N-S-I-T-I-O-N... the host, JOHN, doesn't know me, but I feel as if he picked this week's word JUST.for.ME!

I've TRANSITIONED from a soft cast to an air cast this week. Little did I know that my foot (& mind) would need so much T-L-C (tender loving care) on this journey of healing.

My week has run the gamut from:
  • anger
  • frustration
  • overwhelming fatigue
  • tears
  • depression

JPE (wisely suggested) that I spend some time using my camera (I've gotten behind on taking photos for the online course I'm taking, "Find Your Eye") & crafting (so, I pulled out the "goodies" I purchased two weeks ago during a visit to So California)...

see you tomorrow with an "upbeat" post!
I'm on a "sweet-roll" NOW!
(NO, not the kind you eat)

  1. I am sorry it has been a rough week for you. You are such a "sweet"heart I can't wait to see what you are working on.

  2. Hi, I'm the newbie weekworder. Great photo! Sorry about your foot but hope you're mending nicely.

  3. Really enjoyed the post and the photographs, who ever would have thought an injured foot would be artistic?

I guess with transition you know that whilst you might wish to scream at times you know it will pass.

  4. Ah...feel better! Great photo of all your fun things... keep rolling!! B.

  5. It seems like taking a photograph with an injured foot would be most difficult! I'm looking forward to seeing your craft projects!

  6. Hi there! I am late in posting/commenting on the weekword train. I got your message on the recycling... the bottom picture bin is made from copper piping and plumbing fixtures of all sorts :) Thanks for visiting as always. I hope you are mending well. Hang in there and take care of yourself. Enjoy the crafty time, it is quite therapeutic :)

  7. Oh! Poor you! But think of all the time you'll have to blog and craft and...if you want, I can bring you a loom to work and show you how to knit on it.

  8. I hope your foot recovers and you find some peace! Lovely photos!! I particularly like the arts and crafts one.

  9. Oh Christine being in a cast and weighed down is terrible for a cute little hummingbird like you, I'm sorry! I love love love your picture this week and the joy of fun new crafty knick knacks overflowing the desk, now I'm all inspired to go make cards in my own little artsy fartsy space. Feel better and take care sweet girl!

  10. Hope you are up and around in a more mobile way soon! I have had a cast on my leg a few times, and it is such a pain. Makes you really value your freedom of movement!
    Love your picture!
