These are just amazing...who would have thought ~ and so enjoyable to so many. I guess is this is what is truly meant with the saying..."bringing art to the masses'. What a wonderful community you live in.
ReplyDeleteChristine, greetings!
ReplyDeleteI'm a friend of Adrienne's sister, Jacque.
Just wanted to say that I really enjoy your blog and especially
the photography portion of it.
I was wondering where you get the great quotes that you post
with your pictures?
Thank you for showing off SLO, we love it there!
Robin
Dear Anonymous... thanks for your kind words. I collect quotes in a little book... or I use the quote books find in this link (second picture) http://silverlinings4me.blogspot.com/2011/01/simplicity-simple-living.html
ReplyDeleteWhen I don't know what I'd like to blog about - I pull a picture from my file & try to match it with a quote & tell a story. It's Fun! Stimulating! and a fool-proof way to create something to post.
Living in SLO has been such a treat! Moved here in 1972 (from So Calif) to attend Cal-Poly, SLO... and was fortunate enough to be able to stay. While students (& living on a slim budget) we learned to appreciate the community we live in - which is key to living where jobs are scarce & housing in costly. But, it's been a fabulous place to raise a family and I'm looking forward to having more hours for pleasure & volunteering when I retire (a few years from now)...
Thanks for visiting my blog - do come back again.
Those are very cool! Its amazing what originality there is all around us in surprising places when we really look up and open our eyes. :o)
ReplyDeleteGreat fun seeing this unexpected art. :-D
ReplyDeleteso bright and colorful.
I missed out on last week's weekword--mother-in law had double mastectomy and I was with her in the hospital. Where do I find the next one?
Wow, these are so unique - it amazes me sometimes how art can be in the most unexpected places!
