WOOSHHH.... MY SUNDAY FLEW BY!
I SPENT ALL DAY SATURDAY CLEANING OUT THE SECOND STORAGE UNIT...
- RENTED A TRUCK TO TAKE STUFF TO THE DUMP
- DROPPED THE OLD LOVE-SEAT (FUNNY TERM!??) AT THE LOCAL THRIFT STORE
- MOVED A MATTRESS + BOOKCASE TO OUR OTHER STORAGE UNIT (YES! WE HAVE TWO - CHEAPER THAN A TWO CAR GARAGE)
- TOOK A LEISURELY BATH TO WASH OFF THE MOVING GRIME & SWEAT!
WHAT RELIEF TO HAVE MOST OF THAT PROJECT DONE!
BUT, BOY ~ YOU SHOULD SEE MY BRUISES & LEG GASH... UGLY! (DARN THAT TRAILER HITCH ~ KEPT GETTING IN MY WAY).
GOTTA RUN (WELL, NOT LITERALLY)... OFF TO THE MOVIES TO SEE "THE TOWN"
Sounds like you accomplished a lot!! My daughter and I decorated the front entrance for Halloween and today we spent quite some time at the pumpkin patch - it was such a wonderful time!
ReplyDeleteI wanted to have fun, but much like you I ended up doing household chores and errands! Although it doesn't sound like the most fun weekend ever, you must feel so accomplished, and that's a great feeling! :)
ReplyDeleteWow, you had a full weekend! I completed house-tasks as well. But I also managed to squeeze in a movie date!
ReplyDeleteHi,
ReplyDeleteMy you were a busy bee.(-: But isn't it satisfying to edit out stuff? It makes me feel so light. I spent the day in the garden and trying to get a decent picture of a witch...I think she had me cursed. Then ended the day at Heather's for a wonderful, delicious, (oh! I ate too much) carne-asada dinner.
In response to your comments... YES - getting the large stuff moved felt exhilarating! now, I need to deal with:
ReplyDelete- dropping off more household items that we're no longer using (or have multiples of)
- taking textbooks to the used bookstore
- sorting memorabilia into plastic tubs - what do we keep? artwork from preschool + elementary school?? report cards? baby book? (does anyone keep a baby book anymore???)... my newspaper clippings from high school activities? oh, the memories....
