"fruit(s) of his labor"
Our kitchen has been a "flurry of activity" --- bubbling, boiling, burning (oops! I think the pot was too small or the product "multiplied" faster than expected)...
JPE (now you know his alias, "JAMMIN' JOHN") has been busy....
In the past couple of weeks, he's "PUT UP"... 5 1/2 gallons of jam!
:: 1.5 gallons of blackberry ::
(today's product - still to be labeled!!)
:: 2 gallons of apricot ::
:: 2 gallons of strawberry ::
ME --- what role did I play? well, I wield a "mean sponge" and spray bottle of cleaner... plus I mopped the floor & washed his gray slippers! they were a tad "sticky"...
Jammin' John --- he's a "keeper"
AND, I smell the "tulips" and play with my camera....

OH - I spent 1.5 hours at physical therapy... urgghhh! it's hard work!!
As a teenager, I made a lot of raspberry jam (helps to have the bushes a few yards from the back door). All your jammin' have me craving toast!
ReplyDeleteHope physical therapy is working, despite being hard work! Looks like from at least two other blogs your luck has changed--yay you for your wins!
I put in a request for one blackberry!
ReplyDeleteThose aren't "tulips," am I missing something here?
ReplyDeleteoops - sorry - They are lilies! and I got them from my girlfriend who grows "hothouse" tulips for stores & sells them for weddings too ;-)
ReplyDeleteI love homemade jam - lucky you! :-)
ReplyDeleteLooks so yummy! Hang in there with your therapy. I'm thinking of you.
ReplyDeleteMmm...I bet homemade jam is the best! If Ward tried to make jam,however, I'd have to come in with a firehouse to wash down the kitchen! lol!
