GOING IN CIRCLES??

Long Beach Quilt Show ~ July 2008 ~ photo by ACE

there is no recipe for living that suits all cases."

My LIFE is swirling...

...although I have swelling on the top of my left foot, I have been able to slip on my "sturdy" (the Doctors word) Clark flats!! Good News!!

...the DOCTOR (recommendation) would like me to wear lace-up running type shoes ~ but I just don't think I can pull that off ~ considering they look odd with office attire. Urgghh!!

...AND ~ as much as I would like to be farther in the healing process ~ my "foot" seems to be taking it's "sweet-ole-time."

I feel like I'm "going in circles" ~ wearing a shoe (good day)! elevating the foot (end of day)! tender, swollen toes (Monday evening)! wearing the boot (tomorrow)!! GOOD NEWS - I haven't used the crutches in 2 weeks.

X-RAY on Friday! it's healing - but not fast enough!!! can't wait to be able to take 10,000 steps (where's my pedometer)?

  1. Oh dear...this really has been a long ordeal. I don't remember how long it took with my foot surgery, probably because I have tried to forget it.(-: I just hope that you are completely well soon.

Hang in there, it will feel better (although mine tends to ache a bit when it rains and we've had a lot of random rainstorms recently!). Wear the sneakers for awhile, even if they are a office fashion no. It won't be forever, but your foot will feel a lot better and maybe you won't need as much ice and elevation at the end of the day.

    Hooray for no crutches!

  3. Feel better soon! Isn't it amazing how we never wake up and thank ourselves for feeling good when we feel normal . It always takes something to go wonky and then heal for us to remember how blessed we are.

  4. ((Hugs)) It is like watching the pot waiting for the water to boil. I'm too impatient and would be going bonkers. Uber-excited you got to leave the horrible no good very bad crutches behind. :-)

  5. Oh boy, you are still on the mend? I've never broken anything so I don't know how long it takes but I'm sure you are SO ready to be completely healed though. Have a good X-ray!
