talked to SLE this afternoon as she was walking home from yoga... the snow was melting into puddles...
our phone conversation reminded me of my last trip to Washington DC!
Katie, Mom & I spent five days exploring... Katie probably felt like she

this week's words:
BEVERAGE, SNUGGLE, THICK, BEHIND THE LENS & WHERE WERE YOU?
BEVERAGE of choice... coffee w/a splash of non-fat milk!
elephant seals in a SNUGGLE... the "pups" are molting!
JPE's compost is THICK with worms...
nothing like traveling... to put me BEHIND THE LENS!
wondering WHERE I WAS?
in Sacramento... bleary-eyed = reading grants!
see ya tomorrow!

looks like a great week! Except for the worms....
ReplyDeleteGreat collection for both memes. What did we ever do before luggage with wheels?
ReplyDeleteGreat shots all around here! And I'm with Nicki...how DID we survive having to carry those suitcases? Somehow I think we must have packed lighter than we do now! Thanks for joining in at Song-ography.
ReplyDeleteI love your take on the song and your Chinatown shots.
ReplyDeleteI really love the way you turn your pictures into a collage, lovely. I wish I could take the time to do that, it looks so much nicer than just putting the picture on my blog.
ReplyDeleteYour beverage picture is really cool. Though it almost makes me dizzy to look at.
Walking with luggage in tow -- that's something I can relate to. At least now suitcases have wheels. When I was little I carried a "train case" -- a bulky, odd-shaped thing. But I wish I still had it, just for the vintage look of it.
ReplyDeleteLove the seal pups with their mamma! How did we survive before suitcases had wheels!
ReplyDeleteI'm tired just thinking of pulling those suitcases! How did you get so close to those seals?!
ReplyDeleteSuch beautiful photos, even your worms look nice! But my favorite is the last shot, I'd love to visit there too!
ReplyDeleteNice set of images. Some very creative images for the prompts. Have a blessed Sunday.
ReplyDeleteI would love to be 'where you were' judging by the picture, but your comment doesn't sound like it was much fun, so I guess not. Your photos are great. The coffee looks great!
ReplyDeleteIt's always great to walk with someone we love. Sometimes it seems like you've barely walk that far and then your realize how really far you've gone. Time well spent. Great set for the SH too. I need to get back to that soon. Loved your swirling coffee shot.
ReplyDeleteSacramento? Looks more like - I don't know, New Orleans maybe? Loved your interpretation for Song-ography.
ReplyDeleteit's OLD TOWN SACRAMENTO! I've never been to New Orleans, but it sort of looks like what I imagine the buildings would look like there.
