SUNDAY HUMOR???

GARGOYLE
is a carved stone grotesque
with a spout designed to direct water
from a roof and away
from the side of a building.

originates from the French gargouille,
originally "throat" or "gullet"

& the French verb gargariser,
which means "to gargle."

WATCH ME SPIT IN THIS PIPE!
CAN I JUST CLOSE MY MOUTH NOW??
HELP ME! I'M SLIPPING!!
COME ON!  EVERYONE NEEDS TO PULL THEIR OWN WEIGHT!
SOMEONE ~ PLEASE GET THIS SNAKE OUT OF MY HAIR!
YUCK!! THAT TASTED TERRIBLE!

GARGOYLES
=
EROSION CONTROL?
(prevented rainwater
from running down the walls,
which would erode the mortar
between the stone blocks)

  1. ...you gave me a smile to start the day; very cleaver narative. J must be in heaven - I know how he likes objects from this period. Have you started using the new camera?

  2. YES - most of these are with the new camera... we take both and alternate depending on the distance from the pic we want to take... it's probably pretty comical watching us juggle the camera "backpack & getting two cameras out"
the point & shoot is the size of a shirt pocket, so JPE often puts it in his shirt or pants and forgets....
I get panicky when I don't know where both cameras are...
