Today was a day 

that I needed a good belly laugh!

... days that are so serious, stressful, 

or just plain uneventful are days 

that would be improved with a good joke, 

funny cartoon, or a humorous story!!

HAPPY HEART DAY !!!

I've been throughly "pampered" today!

JPE drove us home from his weekend seminar this morning! 

the lovely, warm sun was coming in the car window... 

it was an invitation to doze ~ I DID!

After unpacking the suitcases, 

we settled into the Adirondack chairs

(on the back patio) for a cup of coffee...

I could sense JPE wanted me to 

open my "V-Day present"

... I can't believe it! 

he bought me

a new Canon Rebel

(sounds like the name of a BB gun,

but ~ it's a CAMERA).

I'm so excited!

To cap off this "fabulous day"

JPE cooked an incredibly-tasty

"pasta dinner" 

(w/yummy spicy apple sausage)

& vegies (carrots & broccoli)

I'm very LUCKY-in-LOVE !

I wish I had known about Tara Frey's book, "Blogging for Bliss ~ Crafting Your Own Online Journal" when I was setting up my blog...

She has some fabulous tips for "new-bee" bloggers... I'm considering creating a custom banner with some of my favorite pictures. Tara also gives suggestions for posting pictures (ex: re-sizing for the most impact, or using digital frames around your pictures...).


Plan to devour this book - I can't imagine any blogger would NOT find at least one new idea to try!

AND - the best part - she listed more than 50 colorful, creative blogs for inspiration!!

A MINI-BDAY CELEBRATION

MY BABY TURNED 30!! 

At 6:18am on 

Thursday, February 11th

 we blasted

"You Say It's Your Birthday"

(Beatle's White Album) 

into the cell phone!

We added our 

BEST WISHES 

for the Bday Girl & 

hung up the phone!

I don't know when we started this tradition, 

but it was actually "a tad" 

more THRILLING

when the BDAY person 

didn't have caller ID 

or cell phones which

identified the missed caller!

And - although the BDAY greetings 

are no longer anonymous, 

it's exciting to be the BIRTHDAY person, 

knowing phone calls

could arrive at anytime during the day.

We met ACE (the BDAY girl) for a 

mocha & mini-lemon cupcake ~

the day after her birthday.

(JPE & I were on our way 

to a seminar near her hometown) 

She didn't look a DAY OLDER!

although we knew 34 hours had passed 

since she entered this world, 

30 years ago! 

HAPPY BDAY ACE! 

FYI - she was born at 6:18am, February 11, 1980

I don't remember when I began collecting HEARTS?

Maybe when my girls were young? 

Perhaps they will remember??

I know my collection is larger...

BUT 

I gave myself only 5 minutes 

to gather as many

HEARTS 

as I could!

Twelve years ago, 

Myra gave me the 

"winged" HEART to keep me safe 

as I navigated life as a 
newly divorced, single mom.
